Jupiter Catalyst 4K

Description

Get ultra-sharp 4K resolution on every display of your video wall with the new Catalyst 4K high-tech processor. Faster graphics, real-time frame rate and improved system-wide performance, best in class with a platform based on the Intel Xeon E5 6-core CPU with PCI Express 3.0 and six powerful high-speed connectors.

Drag and drop video and information windows anywhere on the video wall, combine sources to get a panoramic view of 360 °, save and re-display the configurations that are suitable for specific situations, users or the time of day.

Catalyst 4K ships with Canvas 5.3, the latest version of the award-winning and co-created visualization software package.

4K entry and exit support

The Catalyst 4K processor is capable of decoding up to twenty 4K non-HDCP signals, supports input signals with a 4K input board that uses a single-channel DVI-D connector. Catalyst 4K supports up to twelve 4K non-HDCP outputs on a single CPU chassis. Each of the 4K displays has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels per output and four target windows per board via the DisplayPort interface. To achieve more outputs, four expansion chassis should be added.

Configured for Canvas

The Catalyst 4K video wall processor ships with Canvas 5.3, providing access to all the visual business information available on the user network, including live streaming from network cameras and mobile devices, PC application screens, and real-time data streams.

Users at the video wall have the ability to remotely interact with their colleagues through their PCs, smartphones, tablets, as well as in conference rooms equipped with Canvas Touch or CRS-4K terminals.

With Canvas, users can add comments directly to streaming video, chat (using text or voice), perform integration with Microsoft Lync and collaborate on documents in real time. Canvas 5.3 allows you to programmatically decode IP video streams (including 4K), and also provides support for user authentication in Active Directory or workgroup environments.

Native 4K decoding

The Catalyst 4K processor provides CPU-based decoding of H.264, H.265 HD, and 4K sources.

Catalyst 4K supports decoding up to:

  • eight high-definition H.264 streams
  • two streams of H.264 4K
  • two streams H.265 4K

Catalyst 4K in action

The Catalyst 4K processor is the perfect solution for projects of any size. Each 3RU CPU rack-mounted chassis has 6 PCI Express 3.0 slots, and each expansion chassis (up to 4 total) has 7 PCI Express 2.0 slots, allowing you to create bulk configurations.

Catalyst 4K supports up to twelve 4K displays for up to 56 high definition sources. Using Quad Quad decoding auxiliary cards, the Catalyst 4K processor can support up to 132 HD inputs on a single CPU chassis (plus 4 expansion chassis).

Catalyst 4K is also very popular if users want to present content to an audience located outside the Canvas session. Optional dual-channel DVI input cards support up to 56 inputs without HDCP for display on the local video wall only. Inputs via a DVI connection are not shared in Canvas.
